An invitation...

We'd like to invite you (and your friends and family) to a special event on Monday, November 27, 2006, at 6:00 PM, at our Arlington, Virginia location. On that evening, we're hosting a reception for area coffee professionals, shop-owners, and baristas, with a special guest: Aida Batlle, who is a coffee producer from El Salvador. She is known throughout the specialty coffee world as a passionate producer of award-winning coffees. Aida will share about her experiences running her five farms, her experience winning the top-place at the 2003 El Salvador Cup of Excellence competition, and about the development of her coffees.

Aida is responsible for some of the most exciting coffees that we offer: The El Salvador Finca Mauritania, the Espresso Aida 2006, and the upcoming Batlle Grand Reserve Peaberry.

We will also be joined by Peter Giuliano, Director of Coffee from Counter Culture Coffee, in Durham, North Carolina.

Thanks, and I hope to see you on Monday evening. If you could please RSVP (to help tabulate approximate numbers) by sending an email to: events2006@murkycoffee.com

I met her at the reception for here last Saturday night at Counter Culture. It really opened my eyes up to a whole different aspect of the coffee industry. It was a delightful experience to make here acquaintance, and an incredible privilege to cup along side of such great coffee people. If I didn't have to pay my mortgage, raise my kids, and maintain a healthy marriage I would be driving there now.
